The Hunger Games
The clue from our competition on Ravelry were as follows, as no one correctly guessed the theme, I will randomly select a winner from all the people who comment on this post. (Competition will close on the 25th March 2012).

Seam and a Bow
The Seam: The Seam is the poorest area of District 12, and where Katniss and Gale’s families reside. The Seam lies on the border of District 12, next to the wild forests of the unknown area adjacent to District 13
Bow: The bow was favored by Katniss in the 74th and 75th Hunger Games. Her father had made a bow for her before he died, but when she got older she used another one of her father’s bigger bows.

Pearl
Pearl: The pearl is a present from Peeta – he gave it to Katniss in the arena during the Quarter Quell. Throughout Mockingjay, Katniss thinks about or holds the pearl when she needs reassurance about Peeta.

Bread and Primrose
Bread: Plays a very symbolic role in the Hunger Games, each district has it’s own variety of bread. Peeta and his family are all bakers in District Twelve.
Primrose “Prim” Everdeen: was Katniss Everdeen’s younger sister. Unlike her sister in many ways, Prim was the opposite of Katniss in both looks and character, having blonde hair like their mother as well as an affinity for healing.
Remember comment on this post for a chance to win a skein of Sokkusu yarn, and a stitch marker exclusive designed for us. (Competition closes on the 26th March 2012).
